Among the several industries of the Levels, willow growing and basket making are perhaps the best known. The marshy land is particularly suitable for the many acres of willow beds which can be found mainly around the Burrowbridge region. Willow trees are also a prominent feature of the landscape, although they are seldom used for basket making now
